Donte DiVincenzo
Donte DiVincenzo has 21 points, four threes vs. GS
Fri, Dec 12, 2025, 7:03 PM
Donte DiVincenzo added 21 points (7-of-15 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), six rebounds, four assists, one block and four three-pointers in the win over the Warriors on Friday.
Analysis: On the heels of a two-point outing against the Suns, DiVincenzo bounced back nicely on Friday with his fourth 20-point game of the season. He hadn't had a significant impact on the game through three quarters, but saved his best for the fourth. In the final frame, he recorded 10 points and knocked down two massive three-pointers to swing the momentum and ultimately help the Wolves get back in the win column. With Mike Conley (Achilles) and Anthony Edwards (foot) out on Friday, and Bones Hyland (knee) exiting early with an injury, there's a chance DiVincenzo's usage and production could take a jump in the short term.
Rudy Gobert
Rudy Gobert dominates, has 24/14 line vs. Warriors
Fri, Dec 12, 2025, 6:51 PM
Rudy Gobert amassed 24 points (11-of-13 FGs, 2-of-3 FTs), 14 rebounds, one assist, two steals and one block in the win over the Warriors on Friday.
Analysis: After being ejected from Monday's loss to the Suns, Gobert responded with one of his better performances of the season on Friday. In the win, the veteran center crossed the 20-point mark for the second time this season and pulled down double-digit rebounds to claim his 10th double-double. Most notably, Gobert came up big in the fourth quarter by going 6-of-6 from the field with a key basket down the stretch to help the Timberwolves get back in the win column. His numbers are down slightly this season, but he remains a nightly double-double threat.
Julius Randle
Julius Randle logs 27/9/6 line in win over GSW
Fri, Dec 12, 2025, 6:43 PM
Julius Randle tallied 27 points (7-of-14 FGs, 11-of-12 FTs), nine rebounds, six assists and two three-pointers in the win over the Warriors on Friday.
Analysis: Randle did a little bit of everything for the Timberwolves on Friday. The veteran forward led all Minnesota players in scoring, taking advantage of the charity stripe and efficient overall shooting. His work on the boards brought him close to a double-double, and he made several key passes down the stretch of the fourth quarter to help the Wolves land a bounce-back win. Randle has now tallied at least 20 points in four consecutive games and continues to provide value as a facilitator.
Bones Hyland
Bones Hyland (knee) will not return Friday
Fri, Dec 12, 2025, 5:30 PM
Minnesota Timberwolves
Bones Hyland (knee) will not return to Friday's game against the Warriors.
Analysis: Hyland, who started Friday's game for the injured Anthony Edwards, suffered a right knee contusion during the first half. Terrence Shannon Jr. started the third quarter in his place. In addition to Shannon, Rob Dillingham will have additional minutes available.
Bones Hyland
MIN starts Bones, Donte, McDaniels, Randle, Gobert
Fri, Dec 12, 2025, 3:36 PM
Minnesota Timberwolves
Bones Hyland, Donte DiVincenzo, Jaden McDaniels, Julius Randle and Rudy Gobert will start Friday's game against the Warriors.
Analysis: There's just one change to the Timberwolves' starting lineup, but it's significant. Anthony Edwards is out with a foot injury, so Hyland will make his first start as a Timberwolf. With Mike Conley also out, this may be a spot where Rob Dillingham picks up rotation minutes off the bench, but Hyland should be the focus of deep-league managers looking for a streamer.
Anthony Edwards
Anthony Edwards (foot) downgraded to out Friday
Fri, Dec 12, 2025, 10:36 AM
NBA Injury Report
Anthony Edwards (foot) is out for Friday's game against the Warriors.
Analysis: Initially listed as questionable, Edwards will sit out Friday's game with a sore right foot. With Mike Conley also out, who starts in Ant-Man's place is up in the air. Terrence Shannon Jr., Bones Hyland and Rob Dillingham are all possibilities, but the latter has been out of the rotation recently. Shannon and Hyland are safer streaming options in Edwards' absence.
Mike Conley
Mike Conley (Achilles) out Friday vs. Golden State
Thu, Dec 11, 2025, 1:28 PM
Minnesota Timberwolves
Mike Conley (Achilles) is out for Friday's game against the Warriors.
Analysis: Right Achilles tendinopathy will keep Conley out of Friday's game, opening up rotation minutes among the Timberwolves' reserves. Bones Hyland may play more minutes, but he still cannot be trusted in most fantasy leagues.
Anthony Edwards
Anthony Edwards (foot) questionable Friday
Thu, Dec 11, 2025, 1:24 PM
Minnesota Timberwolves
Anthony Edwards (foot) is questionable for Friday's game against the Warriors.
Analysis: Edwards is dealing with a sore right foot, hence his inclusion on the Timberwolves' injury report. With Mike Conley already out, Minnesota would have to look elsewhere if Ant-Man cannot play. Bones Hyland has passed Robert Dillingham in the rotation recently, but this could also be a chance for Terrence Shannon Jr. to take on a more prominent role.
Bones Hyland
Bones Hyland hits four triples, scores 14 points
Mon, Dec 8, 2025, 4:23 PM
Bones Hyland finished Monday's loss to the Suns with 14 points (5-of-8 FGs), one rebound, three assists, one steal and four three-pointers.
Analysis: Not only were the 14 points a season-high for Hyland, but this was his second game in double figures. While he did provide needed perimeter shooting off the bench, one game does not make the former first-round pick a viable fantasy option. Leave Bones on the waiver wire.
Julius Randle
Julius Randle tallies 21 points, eight assists
Mon, Dec 8, 2025, 4:22 PM
Julius Randle accumulated 21 points (7-of-11 FGs, 5-of-7 FTs), three rebounds, eight assists and two three-pointers in Monday's loss to the Suns.
Analysis: While Randle's fantasy value has slipped recently, with the forward being a seventh-round player in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks, he's scored at least 20 points in three straight games. And after averaging 18.7 points per game in his first season with the Timberwolves, Randle has pushed the number up to 22.9 this season while shooting nearly 50 percent from the field. The production and efficiency have improved, making Randle a reliable player to roster, regardless of league format.
Anthony Edwards
Anthony Edwards drops game-high 40 points Monday
Mon, Dec 8, 2025, 4:22 PM
Anthony Edwards accounted for 40 points (15-of-21 FGs, 7-of-9 FTs), nine rebounds, two assists, one steal and three three-pointers in Monday's loss to the Suns.
Analysis: Having shot 6-of-17 from the field in his previous two outings, Edwards was a game-time decision for Monday's game with an illness. He showed no ill effects once the contest got underway, with the Timberwolves guard recording his fifth 40-point game of the season. Even with that two-game mini-slump, Edwards is shooting 55 percent from the field and providing top-20 value in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks. Minnesota plays two more games in Week 8, starting with the Warriors on Friday.
Rudy Gobert
Rudy Gobert assessed a Flagrant 2 foul, ejected
Mon, Dec 8, 2025, 3:12 PM
Rudy Gobert was ejected from Monday's game against the Suns with 7:59 remaining in the third quarter.
Analysis: Gobert was issued a Flagrant 2 foul and ejected for his hard foul on Mark Williams as the Suns' center attempted a dunk. Gobert played 21 minutes, finishing with 15 points (7-of-9 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), eight rebounds, one assist and one steal. Naz Reid replaced Gobert and should log heavy minutes the rest of the way, with a little Joan Beringer sprinkled in.
Anthony Edwards
Anthony Edwards (illness) available Monday vs. PHO
Mon, Dec 8, 2025, 11:55 AM
Minnesota Timberwolves
Anthony Edwards (illness) is available for Monday's game against the Suns.
Analysis: Initially questionable for Monday's game, Edwards is good to go and won't be under any restrictions. He'll take on his usual role as Minnesota's first scoring option. Mike Conley will remain in his usual reserve role since Edwards is available.
Anthony Edwards
Anthony Edwards (illness) questionable vs. Suns
Mon, Dec 8, 2025, 6:56 AM
Timberwolves PR
Anthony Edwards (illness) is questionable to play against the Suns on Monday.
Analysis: Edwards is a late addition to the injury report, as is Terrence Shannon Jr., who is also battling an illness. Shannon would likely see a bump in minutes if he suits up and Edwards doesn't, but if both are out, Mike Conley and Jaylen Clark would likely see the biggest role increase, with Conley likely to start.
Naz Reid
Naz Reid chips in with 19 points vs. Clippers
Sat, Dec 6, 2025, 5:15 PM
Naz Reid accounted for 19 points (7-of-11 FGs), nine rebounds, three assists and five three-pointers in Saturday's win over the Clippers.
Analysis: Reid has scored at least 18 points in three consecutive games, the first time he's done so since mid-November. His corner three-pointer with 13.5 seconds remaining broke a 104-all tie and gave the Timberwolves the lead for good. A top-75 player on the season, Reid has provided top-40 value over the past two weeks. The Timberwolves play three games during Week 8, starting with the Suns on Monday.
Anthony Edwards
Anthony Edwards limited to 15 points vs. Clippers
Sat, Dec 6, 2025, 5:14 PM
Anthony Edwards shot 3-of-11 from the field and 9-of-9 from the foul line in Saturday's win over the Clippers, scoring 15 points with six rebounds, four assists, one steal and two blocks.
Analysis: After struggling with turnovers and foul trouble in Thursday's win over the Pelicans, Edwards had another difficult night on Saturday. A perfect night at the foul line boosted his points tally, but he was also responsible for five turnovers. The good news for fantasy managers is that Edwards provided solid value in rebounds, assists and “stocks,” but they'll be hoping for better in Week 8. The Timberwolves play three games in Week 8, good news for managers competing in leagues that won't combine Weeks 8 and 9.
Jaden McDaniels
Jaden McDaniels leads Timberwolves with 27 points
Sat, Dec 6, 2025, 5:13 PM
Jaden McDaniels amassed 27 points (10-of-13 FGs, 4-of-5 FTs), one rebound, two assists, two steals, one block and three three-pointers in Saturday's win over the Clippers.
Analysis: Counted on mainly for his defense, McDaniels came up big on offense for the Timberwolves. The 27 points were the most he's scored in a game since October 29, when he dropped a season-high 30 on the Lakers. He finished the comeback victory with a complete stat line and has provided seventh-round value in eight- and nine-cat formats over the past two weeks. Rostered in 46 percent of Yahoo! leagues, McDaniels may be undervalued, as he has been a top-50 player this season.
Julius Randle
Julius Randle tallies 24 points, six rebounds
Sat, Dec 6, 2025, 5:12 PM
Julius Randle amassed 24 points (6-of-15 FGs, 11-of-12 FTs), three rebounds, six assists and one three-pointer in Saturday's win over the Clippers.
Analysis: On a night when Anthony Edwards was limited to 3-of-11 shooting, Randle was one of the Timberwolves who stepped up to help erase a slow start. He's scored at least 22 points in three of his last four outings, but the decreases in points and field-goal percentage are why Randle has only been a top-75 player in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks. However, that isn't a reason to panic, as Randle's season-long value remains high. Minnesota has an excellent schedule for those competing in leagues that don't combine Weeks 8 and 9, as they'll play three games next week.
Anthony Edwards
Anthony Edwards struggles with fouls, turnovers
Thu, Dec 4, 2025, 5:33 PM
Anthony Edwards accumulated 11 points (3-of-6 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), six rebounds, four assists, one steal, three blocks and two three-pointers in Thursday's win over the Pelicans.
Analysis: Two days removed from torching the Pelicans for 44 points in an overtime victory, Edwards had arguably his worst game of the season. Due to foul trouble, he attempted six shots from the field, the second-fewest in a game for Ant-Man this season. He only attempted five shots in an October 26 win over the Pacers, but that's because the Timberwolves guard exited after three minutes due to injury. Add in the eight turnovers, and Edwards had a dud on Thursday that fantasy managers will have to flush. Don't be surprised if he bounces back on Saturday when Minnesota hosts the Clippers.
Rudy Gobert
Rudy Gobert tallies 15 points, 12 rebounds vs. NOR
Thu, Dec 4, 2025, 5:33 PM
Rudy Gobert recorded 15 points (5-of-8 FGs, 5-of-8 FTs), 12 rebounds, three assists and one blocked shot in Thursday's win over the Pelicans.
Analysis: After logging 38 minutes and putting forth a dominant showing in Tuesday's win over the Pelicans, Gobert only played 24 minutes in Thursday's rematch. This isn't the first time that Timberwolves head coach has decided to go small in crunch time, but that's a concern when discussing Gobert's fantasy value. He's providing 11th-round value in eight- and nine-cat formats, well below his Yahoo! ADP (68). Gobert remains a viable option in most leagues, but the playing time is something to keep an eye on moving forward.
